By Johnny Edward: FC Ufa forward, Slyvester Igbonu, has told Completesportsnigeria. com that his breaking into the Super Eagles ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia will be a herculean task.
Igbonu last featured for Nigeria in 2015 under former coach , Sunday Oliseh.
Igbonu told Completesportsnigeria.com in an interview in Lagos on Friday that the current Super Eagles players are very talented and have worked hard under Gernot Rohr to achieve good results.
“There are good players in the team playing well and fact is that they are getting results which makes it difficult for any player getting into the squad,” Igbonu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“Their performance in the last game (Vs Argentina) took everyone by surprise because of the way they were set out in a different formation.
“I’m doing well in Russia and it will be a dream come true if I get another chance, and if not I will continue to enjoy my football at FC Ufa”
He has scored seven goals in 14 games for FC UFA in all competition this season.
