EXCLUSIVE By Johnny Edward:
Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has ruled out any possibility of him joining Chinese second tier side Hebei China Fortune this summer.
Hebei China Fortune tabled a £10m offer for Ighalo, which has been accepted by the Hornets, according to the player.
Ighalo, 26, who has been linked with several teams this summer, told completesportsnigeria.com exclusively from his base in London that he will not make such move to Asia at the peak of his career, despite Watford’s acceptance of the offer.
“The club accepted the bid but I’m not going to China now at my age,” he told completesportsnigeria.com.
“The money is so crazy that it’s even tempting.”
The former Granada and Udinese forward however added that he could make such money in England if he performs well for the Vicarage Road side in the English Premier League this season.
“I can make that kind of money here in England after a good season in Premier League by his grace,” Ighalo, who scored 20 goals last season, added.
