Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has backed Leicester City to emerge stronger after they were held to a 0-0 Premier League draw at the King Power Stadium on Thursday by Southampton, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
Southampton stopped a run of four successive defeats by frustrating their hosts in the game that lacked any real excitement.
Leicester City who were hoping to move into the top half of the table stay in eighth position, while Southampton remain in 18th.
Iheanacho took to Twitter after the game to vent his frustration but is hopeful his team will bounce back in emphatic fashion in their next game.
“Not the result we wanted. But we keep fighting 💪🏾💙,” he tweeted.
The former Manchester City player has made 17 league appearances for the Foxes this season (four starts) and has hit the back of the net only once.
