Iheanacho Rated Average In Leicester’s League Cup Defeat To Man City

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho’s performance in Leicester City’s Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to former club Manchester City on Tuesday was rated average by Leicester Mercury.

Leicester were ousted by City in the last eight of the League Cup after losing 4-3 on penalties after 120 minutes of football ended 1-1.

Former AS Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva gave City the lead on 26 minutes before Jamie Vardy equalised for Leicester in the 90th minute to send the game into extra-time.

Iheanacho who had a rare start for Leicester, failed to impress before he was replaced by Vardy in the 57th minute.

According to Leicester Mercury’s appraisal of each Leicester player’s performance, Iheanacho was rated five out of 10.

On Iheanacho’s performance, the the news channel remarked: “Unimpressive performance against his former club. Subbed before the hour.”
