Super Eagles players, Kelechi Iheanacho and Moses Simon, have been nominated for the 2015 Golden Boy award.
Thr two Ngeria players are joined by Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe, Tottenham's Dele Alli, Arsenal's Hector Bellerin and Machester United pair Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial among other promising young players.
The Golden Boy is an award that is given by sports journalists to a young football player playing in Europe perceived to have been the most impressive during a season. All nominees must be under the age of 21 and play in a European nation's top tier.
The award was founded by Italian publication Tuttosport in 2003 with Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney, Mario Gotze, Paul Pogba and Raheem Sterling as past winners.
Forty players have been nominated for this year's award.
Manchester City on their official twitter handle celebrated Iheanacho's nomination on Friday.
"Congratulations to Kelechi Iheanacho and Jason Denayer on making the 2015 Golden Boy shortlist!" the club tweeted.
Iheanacho has been in good form for City since making his debut.
He scored City's only goal in their 1-0 win against Crystal Palace.
And in the Capital One Cup against Palace, he scored a goal and provided two assist in a 5-1 win for City.
