Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has promised that the Super Eagles will keep working hard to come better after Thursday's 3-0 win over the Hawks of Togo in an international friendly in Paris France, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Iheanacho bagged his seventh goal for the Super Eagles in his tenth appearance for the three time African champions after Ahmed Musa had scored twice in the opening 17 minutes of the encounter at the Stade Municipal de Saint La Foret.
"Starting the month with a win, great performance from the young #supereagles we keep working hard to get better," Iheanacho wrote beneath a picture via his Instagram wall after the match.
The 20 year old who was replaced by Sikiru Olatunbosun in the 70th minute of the match, has been linked with a move away from the Ethiad Stadium after his bit part role at the club in the outgoing season.
Iheanacho made 20 English Premier League appearances last season scoring four goals following the arrival of Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras in January.
Iheanacho is expected to be handed a starting role in the Super Eagles's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Uyo next weekend.
