By Johnny Edward: Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho is looking towards scoring more goals for Leicester City in the English Premier League after he broke his duck in the Foxes’ 4-1 win over West Brom on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Iheanacho came on for Shinji Okazaki on the hour mark and made an instant impact, providing an assist for Riyad Mahrez to make it 2-1 three minutes later.
The 21-year-old went on score his first league goal for the club with a header.
The goal was his first for the club after 15 league games this season and his first in the EPL in 14 months.
Iheanacho last scored an EPL goal in the colours of Manchester City on December 26, 2016 against Hull City.
“It’s was a good game, we worked hard and it was a brilliant performance from the team,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV.
“I waited so long for this goal and I’m happy I scored. I look forward to more goals in the next games.”
