Returnee Super Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche would be looking to add to his goalscoring tally when he leads Villareal’s attacking line as they travel to confront struggling Cordoba in a Spanish La Liga tie.
Uche could not find the back of the net despite featuring for 71 minutes in Villareal’s 2-2 home draw against German side, Borussia Monchengladbach in an UEFA Europa League tie played Thursday. The Nigerian international is expected to shift his focus on a Cordoba side who are currently languishing at the bottom of the league table with a paltry 7 points.
Villareal on their part are currently placed in the 8th position on the log with 18 points and despite going on an away tie, would be looking to annex the maximum points against their hosts who are neck-deep in relegation mire.
Uche who recently stage a comeback into the national team after being overlooked for long period currently has 3 goals to his credit for Villareal. The skillful forward’s inclusion could however, not salvage the Super Eagles from missing out of the 2015 Nations Cup participation.
