–Onazi, Aluko, Oboabona, Hope Akpan in Abuja
Villarreal of Spain striker Ike Uche is expected to join the Super Eagles training camp in Abuja today.
Uche is staging a comeback to the Eagles nest after over 18 months on the sidelines following what was thought to be an irreconciliable difference between the two.
Keshi however seems to have bowed down to pressure from Nigerians and have included the innocent-looking forward in the 25-man squad for the double header against Congo away and South Africa at home at the Akwa Ibom stadium in Uyo next week Wednesday. Uche last played for Nigeria in the AFCON game against Burkina Faso.
Meanwhile China-based Aaron Samuel was among the first set of players to arrive Monday evening as the Super Eagles’ Bolton White Apartment camp gathers momentum. He was later joined by Sunday Emmanuel, Omatsone Aluko, Hope Akpan, Godfrey Oboabona, Raheem Lawal and Ogenyi Onazi who was left on the bench for 90 minutes in Lazio’s 2-1 loss at Empoli on Sunday in the Serie A. Before the coming of the foreign legion, eight home based stars were already waiting to welcome them into camp.
