Ik Uche In Villarreal Talks

–Over a new contract

Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche has been in negotiations with the club over a new and improved contract in the last few weeks, but a potential deal is said to still be quite a way off.

The Nigerian’s current contract would see him become a free agent on June 30th 2015, but Villarreal are keen to retain his services beyond that date. It’s thought that initial contact was made around a fortnight ago, while the player appears receptive to extending his contract.

Villarreal club sources have since assured AS that the renewal is not close to being completed yet. The club are confident that the offer will be enough to retain Uche, but it will depend mostly on the player’s choice.

The 30-year old has been a pivotal figure at El Madrigal since returning from a loan spell at Granada in the 2011/12 season. He has scored 28 goals in the previous two seasons, while also acting as the club’s top scorer in consecutive campaigns – making him a highly important member of Marcelino’s squad.

Have a nice contract extension my brother, enjoy yourself while Keshi keep on messing himself up. The next coach will bring you in for Super Eagles. Nice day.

i pity for our coaches who allowed personal interest/ego to over ride national
interest. Samson Siasia did that and lost his job but Keshi ought to learn from
that and become hero/statesman. It is very unfortunate and sacking himself
    from the job.

Again, we must understand that even great coaches lost marches and Keshi should not be an exception. Let us encourage him instead of crucify him but Keshi as a Manager should do something on his temperament and be will to tolerate

It shows just how useful the player is;contrary to what the National team coach is saying about him…

Keshi who wouldn’t live in Nigeria with his family, who wouldn’t take the advise of political sport figure like Orji Kalu, who wouldn’t listen to his former team mates like Garba Lawal, Oliseh, Ikpeba, Akpoborie and so on, who wouldn’t even listen to the pleas and cries of football loving Nigerians to invite our best legs; still claims to love Nigeria more than every one else.

Does that sound like a coach or a politician talking? Are you now Olusegun Obasanjo and his Political gimmicks?
