Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche has revealed that the Yellow Submarines are battle ready for tonight’s Europa League second leg clash against Red Bull Salzburg.
Uche was on target in the first leg as they defeated the visitors 2-1 at the Madrigal stadium and will be hoping to add to his two goal tally in the competition.
“Great atmosphere in our practice at Red Bull Arena! The team is ready!” he wrote.
Uche was an unused substitute in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Eibar but is in line for his sixth game in the competition.
The 30 year old has scored five goals in 20 La Liga games.
At the San Siro in Milan, Joel Obi’s Inter Milan will square up against Celtic. Obi was an unused substitute for Inter when they were held the Scottish champions to a 3-3 draw at Celtic Park in last week’s first leg.
Obi has made ten Serie A appearances for Roberto Mancini’s side and will be hoping to play his sixth Europa League game for the Nerazzuri who are unbeaten at home this season in Europe.
Also expected to make his sixth appearance for Celtic in the competition is Efe Ambrose who replaced Adam Matthews in the first leg. The 26 year old has made 17 SPL appearances so far this.
