Super Eagles forward, Ikechukwu Uche has a good chance to further help move his his Spanish team, Villareal up on the league ladder when they play host to Deportivo La Coruna tomorrow in a La Liga tie. Uche featured in Villareal 1-0 win away to Atletico Madrid last week and would be looking to consolidate on that crucial victory which has moved them to 27 points even though they remain 6th on the log.
Villareal would be looking to make home advantage count against Deportivo who are way down in the 16th position on the league table with paltry 13 points after 15 rounds of games. And Uche who recently extended his contract with Villareal which would see him feature for the team till 2017 would be looking to celebrate the occasion by scoring and increase his goals tally in front of his home fans. A win could see Villreal move to the 5th place on the log provide Valencial falters on their road trip against Eibar today.
It would be recalled that Uche joined Villarreal from Granada in 2011, initially on loan before the deal was eventually made permanent. He scored 14 league goals in his first full season (2012/13) with the Yellow Submarine and followed it up with another 14 last season.
The 30-year-old has already scored four goals in 13 league matches this season.
