Former Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, has expressed his delight to be at Molineux Stadium again making an appearance as a special guest in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with champions, Manchester City, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ikeme who retired from football in the summer after a year-long battle with leukemia was brought onto the pitch with his two kids prior to the kickoff .
Ikeme and his kids went round to acknowledge cheers from the fans inside the stadium.
The day was made even more memorable for the former Nigeria international as his old teammates put up a spirited display against Manchester City who held them to a 1-1 draw.
“Great day being back @wolves seeing everyone! Big Love Always ❤️🔶◼️,” reads a tweet on his Twitter handle.
Ikeme upon full recovery is expected to team up with the Super Eagles technical crew.
