Enyimba coach, Kadiri Ikhana has praised his players for their resilence and hard work this season after they were handed the league trophy following Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Sunshine Stars, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ikhana also described the day as one of his happiest.
The Aba-based outfit had already sealed a historic seventh title going into Sunday’s game after holding out for a goalless draw against rivals, Warri Wolves, last weekend.
“Today is a great day for Enyimba Football Club, the players and the coaches,” the former Kwara United coach told Completesportsnigeria few minutes after his side’s clash against Sunshine Stars at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
“I want to congratulate my players for what we achieved this season.
“It’s all down to hard work and will to succeed in the face of stiff competition from our rivals.
“Personally, today is one of the happiest days of my life, a day I will never forget.”
