By Adeboye Amosu: MFM FC head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, says his team is battle ready for Wednesday’s CAF Champions League First Round, first leg fixture against Algerian side, MC Alger, at the Agege Stadium Lagos, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Olukoya Boys who are making their debut appearance in the competition edged out Mali’s AS Real de Bamako 2-1 on aggregate in the Preliminary Round.
But former champions, MC Alger represents a new challenge for the Lagos club who toiled hard to beat AS Real at the Agege Stadium in their previous game of the competition.
Ilechukwu though reckons that his team has a tough task ahead of them has refused to rule out an upset.
“It’s always tough when you face the North Africans, but all I can say is that we are well prepared for the game,” Ilechukwu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We have prepared well for the game and now is the time to make the country proud.
“Although we have one or two challenges with some of our key players, but we will make do with what we have to get a good result.
“The target for us is to score enough goals and not concede which will help us in the return leg.
