By Adeboye Amosu in Enugu:
Enugu Rangers coach, Imama Amapakabo has no problem with the club’s star striker Chisom Egbuchulam leaving, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Egbuchulam, the Flying Antelopes’ top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season with 16 goals as they won the title, is close to securing a move to Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel.
Amapakabo admitted that it will be difficult to fill the void when Egbuchulam eventually leaves the Coal City side for the Tunisian giants, but has backed the other strikers to step up their game.
“I don’t need to say how important Chisom is to us as he has proved with his performances how good he is,” Amapakabo told Completesportsnigeria.com here in Enugu.
“But I don’t think we need to stop him from playing abroad after all he has done for the club.
” It’s always difficult to replace good players like him but we will surely find a solution.
“We have brought in some new players and we are sure others will step up.”
