Newly appointed Rangers coach, Imama Amapakabo, says improving the dwindling fortunes of the club remains his top priority.
The erstwhile Sharks and Enyimba coach assumed the post following the sacking of the club’s former Technical Adviser, Kelechi Emeteole, who paid the price for the Flying Antelopes’ poor start to the season.
The former international goalkeeper told completesportsnigeria.com that he will put in his best to ensure the club reclaim their past glory on the domestic scene.
”It’s a big task managing a big club like Rangers but I believe I am up to the task,” he told completesportsnigeria.com.
”The first major task before me now is to make sure we improve on our performance so as to meet the expectations of our fans.I believe it is not too late for us to achieve greater things this season and with hardwork and dedication we can end the season well. The fans have longed for the club to reclaim it’s past glory and we hope to put smiles on their faces.”
The Coal City side are occupying the 12th position in the Glo Premier League table.
