Completesportsnigeria.com's ADEBOYE AMOSU appraises the performance of six Nigeria Professional Football League clubs whose status as premier league campaigners next season are seriously threatened as the race for places in the current campaign hit the home stretch.
1. NIGER TORNADOES
Niger Tornadoes are finding life difficult in the top flight after gaining promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League last season.
Despite sitting in 13th position with 43 points, just three above the last relegation spot, the Minna- based side must roll up their sleeves if they are to maintain their top flight status at the end of the season.
The key for them will be improving on their poor away record as they are the only side yet to pick a point on the road in the NPFL this season.
They also have three of their five remaining games on the road. Two of the fixtures are against El-Kanemi Warriors and Heartland who are also fighting hard to escape the drop.

2. EL-KANEMI WARRIORS
Despite their fine home form, the Ladan Bosso led side have found themselves battling to beat the drop this term after finishing in the top half of the table last season.
Bosso's men can take delight in the fact that three of their remaining five fixtures will be at the El-kanemi Stadium, Maiduguri where they have won their last 11 games.
Though they have picked some points on the road, facing Kano Pillars and title chasers Enugu Rangers at this crucial time of the season will be dicey.
So, they need to ensure they win all their remaining home matches to maintain their top flight status.

HEARTLAND ENUGU RANGERS
One of the most successful side's in the history of the Nigeria Professional Football League, Heartland have a tough battle in their hands to stay in the top flight.
With just a point above the relegation zone, the Naze Millionaires no doubt have their back against the wall.
They still have to visit Maiduguri, Kano and Jos, three of the most difficult grounds in the NPFL.
