Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic said Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has given him plenty to be positive about. The Cameroonian was one of the raft of new arrivals to sign on at Craven Cottage during the summer window, arriving for a reported £22m, and, after missing the opening defeat to Crystal Palace, was thrown straight into the team for Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Tottenham.
Anguissa made it through the full 90 minutes at Wembley and showed some nice touches in the heart of the midfield.
After such little time with the squad, Jokanovic was pleased with the 22-year-old’s showing.
The coach admits his side are still a work in progress but feels the former Marseille could become a key cog in their engine room.
Jokanovic said: “Anguissa is a seven-day-old part of the team, but he showed the power and quality when combining [with Jean Michael Seri and Ryan Sessegnon].
“It’s time for us to discover each other, and how I can use them in the best way.”
