Connections say Arthur Kitt is “crying out for” a step up in trip and they are seeking a mile contest for the two-year-old. Arthur Kitt won his first two races before coming in second to Too Darn Hot in his most recent outing, the Solario Stakes at Sandown on Saturday.
Trainer Tom Dascombe was pleased with the colt’s performance at Sandown despite the defeat and he says he is now looking to step Arthur Kitt up in trip to a mile for his next assignment.
He told Sky Sports: “We were pleased enough. Obviously it’s always disappointing not to win a race but I think we were beaten by a very good horse and he’s fine this morning. We’re happy with that.
“We’ll make some plans in a day or two when we’ve seen how he’s come out of the race.
“I should think we’ll stick him up to a mile, probably. I think he’s really crying out for it. There are plenty of options and we’ll take it one step and at a time.”
