Eric Bailly is planning to sit down shortly with Jose Mourinho to get his Manchester United career back on track. The Old Trafford central defender has been out of favour since the back end of last season and things do not seem to be improving for the 24-year-old.
Bailly has dropped down to the bench after his horror show in the recent defeat to Brighton and his camp are concerned the Ivory Coast international could now be surplus to requirements.
They were already agitated how their man was sidelined by Mourinho during the final month of last season despite the player being free of any injury.
United paid Villarreal £30m in 2016 but Mourinho is still keen to recruit another central defender and Bailly wants to know where he now stands.
Bailly likes Manchester but does not want to be behind Phil Jones and Chris Smalling in the pecking order, with his representatives aware there remains strong interest back in Spain.
