Wales boss Ryan Giggs insists forward Gareth Bale will be fully fit by the time he returns to Real Madrid. Bale is currently sidelined with a minor groin issue, which he sustained in Real’s 1-0 loss to Alaves on Saturday, and Giggs has confirmed he won’t feature in Wales’ friendly with Spain on Thursday.

The forward has missed the last three days of training with his national team, in the hope that he will be available for the Nations League clash with the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday.
Giggs admitted that he is 50/50 for the meeting with Ireland, but has played down concerns about his availability for Real Madrid over the coming weeks.
“We’re treating the symptoms but it’s nothing to worry about. Either way, I expect him to be fit for Madrid’s next game,” Giggs said.
“It’s something of nothing but it’s a short turnaround and we’ll take no chances.
“If he’s available he’s available. The medical team are constantly in dialogue with Madrid like they are with every team.
“When you have niggly injuries it’s maybe at the back of your mind until you’re flying again, but I’m not worried and Gareth isn’t worried.”
