Bernard Sure Of Everton Focus

It was a cruel blow for the men in blue as they had lifted their game and played some decent football, with Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Theo Walcott all missing chances to get on the score sheet.

The result leaves them in sixth place in the Premier League standings but 14 points behind Jurgen Klopp’s side.
It would be easy for Marco Silva’s men to wallow in self-pity after such a heartbreaking loss but that will not happen, according to Bernard.

“It is a really sad result because we deserved that point,” he told evertontv. “But the focus begins as soon as we finish the previous game, it starts immediately. “We have been playing well, we are really dedicated and we have been putting in the effort every day.”

Everton host Rafa Benitez’s men on Wednesday night and will be looking to close the eight-point gap to fifth-placed Tottenham.
