Federico Bernardeschi has praised Massimiliano Allegri and says he has a “wonderful relationship” with the Juventus boss.
Bernardeschi joined Juve in a 40million euros deal from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017 but initially struggled to make an impact in Turin, as he started just seven Serie A games last season.
There was speculation the 24-year-old Italy international could depart during the last transfer window, but he has been more involved this term and Bernadeschi has now moved to pay tribute to the Bianconeri manager.
“I have a wonderful relationship with the boss,” Bernardeschi told Tuttosport.
“He bent my ear a bit yesterday [Tuesday] because I didn’t pass two balls in the second half [of the 3-0 Champions League win over Young Boys], but I feel very comfortable with him.
“When he gets angry he makes himself heard and understood, even if the foreigners struggle with Tuscan a little bit! But he talks in English too.”
On his own form, he added: “My form? It’s a result of evolution, but it was two or three years ago that I made a real leap in quality, on a mental level above all.”
