Philip Billing knows Huddersfield need to grind out results on a regular basis if they are to survive in the Premier League this season.
The Terriers failed to win any of their opening 10 top-flight games this term, but they ended that drought with a 1-0 victory over Fulham earlier this month and they followed that result up with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against West Ham.
Those results were enough to lift David Wagner’s side off the foot of the table, but they remain a point adrift of safety.
Denmark under-21 international Billing has started every match for Huddersfield in the Premier League this season and he knows, despite their recent upturn in form, they must continue working hard if they are to grind out more results.
“It’s a long season and we still have to grind hard and work hard, but for sure I am happy with my start,” Billing was quoted as saying by the Huddersfield Examiner.
The 22-year-old has also been pleased by his own development this term, as he has already started more league games then he did in the whole of last season.
“It’s all about getting minutes in for me and playing well,” he added. “I know the potential and quality I have, the ability I have, but it’s just about believing in yourself, going out and showing it in every game – that’s what I need to do.”
