Neil Warnock has moved to ease any injury fears regarding captain Sean Morrison after he was forced off in Cardiff’s win over Brighton. Morrison was replaced with 20 minutes remaining in the 2-1 win on Saturday with a facial injury.
Manager Warnock has now revealed the defender sustained a broken nose but indicated he doesn’t expect Morrison to face any time on the sidelines as a result of the injury. “He broke his nose. He had a few rough challenges today.
But in the end I thought he was a little bit dizzy so we didn’t want to risk anything,” Warnock told the BBC.
The Bluebirds go into the international break in 18th spot in the Premier League table thanks to their victory over Brighton, level on points with Southampton and Crystal Palace immediately above them.
Cardiff travel to Everton in their next league fixture on November 24 and Morrison, 27, is likely to be available despite the injury he suffered on Saturday.
