Bayern Munich say there is a ’50-50′ chance of Jerome Boateng leaving the club, with Paris Saint-Germain keen to do a deal. Clubs throughout Europe, excluding England, have until the end of the month to sign new players, and it looks as though Boateng could be one player who is on the move.
The 29-year-old had been linked with Manchester United, but with all English clubs now out of the running, PSG are in the box seat to do a deal.
Bayern president Uli Hoeness admits there is still plenty of work to be done and a deal is in the balance before August 31.
“Jerome has told [chairman] Karl-Heinz Rummenigge he wants a change,” Hoeness told Sky News. “It’s 50-50. We’ll be happy if he stays, he is a fantastic player. [If he goes] I believe it will be Paris.
“When a player wants to leave and we have alternatives, then we busy ourselves with that. A decision will be reached in the next few weeks.”
