Mercedes racer Valtteri Bottas admits he is preparing to be asked to make way for Lewis Hamilton again for the rest of the season.
Bottas was leading the race in Russia last weekend after qualifying on pole and generally outpacing his more illustrious team mate all weekend.
However, half way through the race, his race engineer Tony Ross told him to pull over and let Hamilton pass so he could gain points on Sebastian Vettel and edge closer to a fifth world title.
Hamilton is now 50 points clear of Vettel and looks very much on course to seal the title with only five races remaining, effectively having a two race win barrier over the German.
And Bottas admits that Mercedes have told him to expect team orders again if the right opportunity arises.
“It’s what I expect,” the Finns said bluntly on the matter.
“It depends on the situation. Last weekend, if Lewis did not have the blisters on his tyres, maybe I would have been allowed to win.”
