Brazil boss Tite has heaped praise on Everton forward Richarlison after his match-winning performance against Cameroon. The 21-year-old won his sixth cap for Brazil on Tuesday and he made full use of the opportunity against Cameroon at Stadium MK.
Richarlison started on the bench but was thrown into the action with just eight minutes on the clock when Neymar had to leave the field with a groin issue.
The Everton forward, who boasts six Premier League goals this term, continued his impressive form as he netted the only goal of the game against Cameroon.
Tite was delighted to see the youngster bag his third international goal and feels the future looks bright for Richarlison. “I was not surprised by Richarlison’s performance. What I saw today was the continuation of him always coming on and playing well for Brazil,” Tite said.
“In his first game, he really impressed with his incision and his finishing, both his head and on the floor. “I’ve also seen him play on the wing for Brazil and play really well and because of his qualities in training, we can also imagine him playing as a second striker as well. He’s someone who’s really impressed me since coming into the team.”
