Brighton forward Percy Tau has been told he is good enough to break into Chris Hughton’s first team in the Premier League. The on-loan Albion forward was part of the South African side which fought out a 1-1 draw with Nigeria in their African Nations Cup qualifier at the weekend which sends them through to the finals next summer.
Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr hailed him as a “wonderful player” and said he could be a success in England after he had set up a goal for strike partner Lebo Mothiba Tau has impressed in the second division in Belgium and Rohr says he could play on a higher stage, saying: “My congratulations to this wonderful player Percy Tau.
“I hope to see him again in a big team in Europe. “He has all the qualities to be a player in England or somewhere in a big championship and he gave us a lot of problems.”
