Brighton midfielder Davy Propper has withdrawn from the Netherlands squad after picking up a foot injury.
Propper is a key figure at the Amex Stadium, having started all eight of their Premier League games this term, and he was due to report for action for Holland during the international break.
However, the 27-year-old sustained an injury in the 1-0 victory over West Ham on Friday and had to leave the field with 10 minutes left to play.
The midfielder spent the weekend resting up but his injury continues to be an issue and he has taken the decision to withdraw from selection.
The Netherlands host Germany on Saturday in the UEFA Nations League before making the short trip to Belgium for a friendly three days later.
