Yannick Carrasco’s agent says he rejected the chance to join Napoli earlier this year but believes he will play in Italy eventually. The winger left Atletico Madrid in February, signing for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, despite Napoli being keen on bringing him to Serie A.
The 25-year-old remains on the radar of plenty of Europe’s top clubs and a future move to Serie A is on the cards, according to his agent Atletico Madrid.
“It’s useless to keep secrets in football, and it’s true there was interest from Napoli,” Henrotay said on Radio Marte.
“In the end he chose China though. I’m convinced that sooner or later he’ll play in Italy, because Serie A is destined to grow.
“I’m not basing that affirmation on hope alone, I have concrete reasons to believe Carrasco will play in Italy in the future.”
