Carroll Set For November Return

Carroll Set For November Return

West Ham have been boosted by the news that Andy Carroll should return from his latest injury setback by November. The England international has been dogged by numerous injury issues since joining the Hammers from Liverpool in 2013 and he is currently sidelined with an ankle problem he picked up during the summer.

There was initially no indication as to when the 29-year-old would be fit enough to return, but reports are now suggesting that he should be back in the first-team fold by November and he has already begun doing some gym work with the rest of the squad.

Confirmation of Carroll’s return date will be a huge boost to the Hammers, as they are expected to cash-in on the former Newcastle player during the January transfer window and getting him back on the pitch will boost their chances of attracting potential interest.

Carroll is into the final year of his contract at the London Stadium so if West Ham are unable to sell him in January then they risk losing him on a free next summer, as it is extremely unlikely the club will offer him a new deal given his long-term injury problems.
