Fulham defender Calum Chambers says it is crucial they kick on from Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Southampton. In Claudio Ranieri’s first game in charge since he was appointed as Slavisa Jokanovic’s successor, the Cottagers picked up just their second win of the season to end a run of seven straight defeats in all competitions.
Fulham are still rock-bottom of the standings although they are just one point behind 15th-placed Newcastle United, who make the trip to Turf Moor on Monday night to take on fellow strugglers Burnley.
Next up for the west London outfit is a clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and Chambers, who is on a season-long loan from Arsenal, is hoping to keep the momentum going.
He told the club’s official website: “Just to get the win was nice but we need to build on that, get a bit of motivation going, keep learning the new philosophy and style, just do everything we can to be ready, keep fighting and keep showing performances like that.”
