Wakefield Trinity head coach Chris Chester will be going all out to put one over old rivals Castleford Tigers on Friday. Chester takes his injury hit side to face the in form Tigers and whilst he will be going all out for a win he also sees Cas as real contenders for the Grand Final itself next month.
“I’m looking forward to it. We’ll go there without any fear,” he said.
“They’ve had the upper hand for the last three years since I’ve been here so there is still plenty of motivation for us to go there and get the job done.”
While Wakefield are still hopeful of finishing fifth, Castleford are warming up nicely for the semi-finals after winning their last four matches although their hopes of a home draw in the semi-finals came to an end on Thursday with Wigan’s win at Huddersfield.
Chester added: “They’re playing well and they have a full squad to choose from.
“They have a helluva chance of making the Grand Final. They are peaking at the right time and them and Wigan are probably the two form teams.
“They are playing a great brand of football and defending tough. To play two-thirds of the season without Luke Gale shows the strength in depth they have.”
