Citizens insiders have conceded the club may look again at the options if their sister club continue to use the player sparingly. Roberts, however, is understood to be enjoying his time in Spain and is prepared to battle for more playing time at the Catalan club.
The 21-year-old has never played a competitive game for City since his £7m move from Fulham in 2015, spending two successful seasons on loan at Celtic. Leicester City have previously shown an interest and the starlet knows he will have offers when his contract elapses with the Premier League champions next summer.
