Manchester City continue to be linked with PSG’s Adrien Rabiot as Pep Guardiola steps up his search for a new midfielder. City cannot make a move until the January transfer window opens, but that is not stopping them from getting potential deals in place so they are able to strike straight away.
The injury to Kevin De Bruyne has left City short of cover for Fernandinho and Guardiola recently admitted that he is keen to strengthen his midfield.
“The January market is a long time away so I don’t have time,” he said. “Of course we’re looking at options for the future and the club always is open.”
One strong option appears to be Rabiot, who continues to be linked with a move away from Paris and could be available for a fee in the region of £45million.
At the age of 23, his best days are ahead of him and he has shown he has an eye for goal with 23 goals and a further 16 assists for the Ligue 1 giants.
