Lewis Cook’s number one aim is to impress for Bournemouth and hopes that will be enough to help him back into the England squad.
The 21-year-old shone for the Cherries last season, form which led to him making his England debut against Italy and then being put on the standby list for the World Cup.

Cook has been overlooked for the latest senior squad and will instead feature for the under-21s, but he is determined to force his way back into Gareth Southgate’s plans sooner rather than later.
“It was a massive achievement for me to be on standby for such a massive tournament. I have to use that and take it into the season to try to push, he said, “Being there before, I have just got to try to keep working hard and make sure the form for my club is up there.
“It’s everyone’s dream and goal to be in the England first team but, if it’s the under-21s, then fine. We have a big campaign coming up.”
