Jack Cork admits Burnley cannot wait to get back underway as they prepare to take on Newcastle after the international break. The Clarets have not won for five matches and the pressure is once again back on Sean Dyche’s men.

Burnley earned a draw before the international break as they managed to secure a point following an emotional fixture against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Cork and the rest of the squad will have to wait until Monday before their next game and the former Swansea man admits he is itching to get back playing.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: “Newcastle will be a tough game but it’s always good to be at home. A Monday night game. “The night games are great, I think the fans enjoy it. It’s something different to the Saturday games.

It does make it a bit more special and we’ve had some good games there in the evenings. “We know they’re going to be right up for it. They’ve got a bit of confidence with a few good results so it will be a good game and one we’re hoping to get a win out of.”
