Southampton midfielder Steven Davis has admitted he has been frustrated by his lack of game time this season.
The 33-year-old, who endured a tough campaign last season with injuries, has been an unused substitute in two of Southampton’s four Premier League games this term.
Now back to full fitness from his hamstring injury, Davis has admitted it has been tough to watch Saints from the sidelines and hopes he can get some more minutes after the international break.
He was quoted by the Daily Echo: “Ultimately it’s frustration, as it is for any player who isn’t playing.
“That’s the aim every week when you go to training and get yourself ready to play on a Saturday.
“But things in football can change very quickly as well.”
