Second seed Novak Djokovic will take on Karen Khachanov in the Paris Masters final after beating Roger Federer. Federer’s hopes of claiming his 100th tournament victory were ended in Saturday’s late semi-final as Djokovic claimed a 7-6 (8-6) 5-7 7-6 (7-3) victory.

The serbian now leads the head-to-head with Federer 25-22 and will regain the number one ranking when they are updated on Monday.
The 31-year-old has won his last 22 matches and will be expected to extend that run on Sunday when he faces Khachanov.
The unseeded Russian pulled off a shock earlier in the day when he defeated Dominic Thiem 6-4 6-1. “It was a spectacular match and one of the best of my career against him,” Djokovic said. “We went toe-to-toe.”
