Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has been hit with an injury problem to stand-in skipper Paul Dummett ahead of the clash at Burnley. The Premier League gets back into action at the weekend and Newcastle will be desperate to follow up their two wins on the bounce when they take on Burnley away on Monday night.
The curse of the international call-up has hit them though with the news that Dummett suffered an injury on his full international debut with Wales.
There is no official world from Wales as to the exact nature of the injury but he has suffered hamstring problems in the past and has already been removed from their squad to face Albania on Tuesday.
Dummett, who has started 10 of the club’s 12 Premier League games this season, will now be assessed ahead of the clash with the Clarets where Newcastle will look to build on their two-match winning run.
