Dutche Ace – Ajax starlet Frenkie de Jong says he is happy with the Dutch side following reports linking him with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 21-year-old is in demand with Europe’s top clubs chasing his signature ahead of the new year, with Barcelona and Manchester City both said to be very keen.
However reports in the last 24 hours have suggested that PSG are in the box seat and are prepared to pay 75million euros to complete a deal for the youngster.
Despite all the rumours De Jong insists he is staying fully focused on Ajax for now and is not looking beyond the end of the season. “It’s difficult to say what will happen,” the Dutch ace told the Guardian. “I want to finish this season well with Ajax. Then we will see. Maybe I’ll stay for another year, maybe I’ll leave. But I am not sure.”
Regards the ongoing speculation, De Jong says it does not get to him adding: “I don’t pay attention to it. I hear the stories but I just want to finish this season well.”
