Chris Hill has rejected the notion England will ease off in the final Test against New Zealand having already claimed a series win. England hold an unassailable 2-0 lead after Sunday’s 20-14 win over the Kiwis at Anfield.
The third and final game of the series takes place at Elland Road in Leeds next Sunday, and Warrington prop Hill says England are desperate to record a 3-0 win over the tourists. “We’ll enjoy this win as a group,” the Cumbrian told the Warrington Guardian.
“You have to enjoy these moments as they don’t come around often. “We’ll regroup again up in Leeds and we’ll be going all out to make it 3-0 at Elland Road.”
Hill feels England’s series win sends out a real statement as he regards New Zealand as the best team in the world.
He said: “They came over here after convincingly beating the Aussies. “I watched that game and the Aussies were lucky to get as close as they did.
They were on a high after that. “Off form, New Zealand were the best team in the world coming into this. We just concentrated on ourselves and what we do well.”
