Everton have been linked with a move for Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, who is out of contract at the end of the season. The Portuguese club are keen to tie playmaker Brahimi down to a new deal but so far they have been unable to convince him to extend his stay.

Brahimi will be free to agree pre-contract terms with a non-Portuguese club in the January transfer window and Porto may well be open to offers rather than allowing him to leave as a free agent.
Everton, who were linked with the 28-year-old Algerian two years ago, are among the clubs monitoring his situation according to Portugal’s O Jogo.
If the Goodison Park outfit do opt to make a move when the winter window opens they could face competition as Premier League rivals Newcastle and West Ham have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
Brahimi has started all 10 of Porto’s Primeira Liga games so far this season and has two goals, having managed nine in 33 appearances last term.
