Hazard, who is the younger brother of Chelsea star Eden, was also on the books at Stamford Bridge before moving to the Bundesliga, where his career has really taken off.
The 25-year-old has fired home 11 goals and provided a further six assists in just 14 appearances this season and Gladbach could now be facing a fight to keep hold of him.
Hazard has just over 18 months remaining on his current deal and reports claim that Gladbach could be willing to cash in at the end of the season if they cannot get him tied down to a new one.
There is no shortage of interest in the midfielder with Italian side Roma said to be interest as well, but it is thought Hazard would like to return to the Premier League if he does leave Germany.
Hazard is said to have unfinished business with the league after failing to hit it off at Chelsea and that could give Everton a good chance of striking a deal.
