Farmer Targets Davis Bout

American Tevin Farmer wants to take on Gervonta Davis after he stopped James Tennyson on Saturday night. The Philadelphia southpaw showed his class in Boston as he made a successful defence of his first IBF super-featherweight crown.

Farmer produced a perfect display as he dropped the Belfast man on two occasions.

The referee eventually waved the contest off in the fifth round and Farmer now wants a unification clash with WBA ‘Super’ champion Davis.

He told Sky Sports: “I’m starting to adapt now. They said Tennyson could punch but I know I can punch too.
“I want everyone with a belt, I’ve got one particular guy I want, I want Gervonta Davis.”

In the main event, Demetrius Andrade dropped Walter Kautondokwa four times on his way to winning the WBO middleweight world title.

He was set to fight Billy Joe Saunders before he failed a drugs test and Andrade was in fine form as he won a world title at a second weight.
