Nabil Fekir may be allowed to leave Lyon in January after owner Jean-Michel Aulas hinted that he is not certain to stay. Fekir looked to be on his way to Liverpool earlier in the summer only for a knee problem highlighted in his medical to scupper the deal.
It has now been claimed that Chelsea were also interested in the 25-year-old France international and held talks with the club before the close of the English transfer window.
The talented schemer is one of the most sought-after players in Europe and would certainly command a huge fee.
After managing to keep hold of their prized asset this summer, Aulus admits it is by no means a certainty that he will not be sold in the future.
“We will have to wait until the end of the transfer window. But he will stay, at 95 per cent,” he said.
