Young Watford forward Michael Folivi shone in Monday’s U23 defeat at Cardiff as he looks to catch the eye of Javi Gracia. The Hornets youngsters were beaten 2-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium in a Professional Development League Two clash as a more experienced Bluebirds outfit got the better of them.
Goals from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Gary Madine earned City the win but some Watford players still stood out.
Folivi is one of the players in the U23s this season tipped to eventually progress into Gracia’s first-team squad on a regular basis.
The 20-year-old, who has one Premier League appearance as a sub to his name so far, went close on a couple of occasions in the Welsh capital and will have hoped Gracia took notice.
