Leicester’s George Ford says his side will look to put on a show in front of their fans on Sunday against Worcester. The Tigers have endured a tumultuous campaign to date, dispensing with coach Matt O’Connor after the opening defeat to Exeter and that has prompted a response, with a win over Newcastle and bonus point in defeat at Wasps.
Ford and co welcome the Warriors to Welford Road on Sunday and Geordan Murphy, who remains in interim charge, will be keen for his side to put on a show.
The fly-half has grabbed his team’s man-of-the-match award in their last two outings and feels things are looking up for the Tigers after some encouraging displays.
“We’re looking forward to getting back to Welford Road,” said Ford.
“Boys are turning up to training with a massive smile on their face and really enjoying it.
“Geordan is a great guy to follow and leave the club forward.
“With it being at Welford Road, with the crowd and support we have behind us, we’re looking forward to it.”
